On the way to Arenal, you’ll stop in Sarchi, a famous artisanal town with incredible woodworking and souvenirs. After enjoying views of the volcano, you’ll visit the famous hot springs and enjoy an afternoon of relaxing in incredible scenery.

Guatemala

El Salvador Beach

After a scenic drive through the Guatemalan countryside with views of the Pacific, you’ll arrive in El Zonte El Salvador, one of the most famous beaches in Central America. Enjoy fun in the sun at a wonderful hostel with poolside service and a multitude of hammocks, or take the surf challenge and sign up for lessons to start breaking the waves!

Peru

Machu Picchu

One of the most iconic ruins in the world, you’ll travel to Aguas Calientes, a village at the foot of the mountain, before proceeding by bus to the sanctuary-city of Machu Picchu. You’ll take a three-hour guided tour of the ancient ruins, and hike to the top of Huayna Picchu (the mountain overlooking the ruins) or the Temple of the Moon, before returning to Cusco by train.

  • "My experience was absolutely unforgettable! During the day I interned at an incredible private elementary school. I helped plan lessons and assisted a first grade teacher. The Spanish classes have top notch instruction. The teachers meet you right at your instructional level - anywhere from beginner to expert.
My six weeks in Costa Rica also entailed many crazy adventures! Some of them include: touring the Britt coffee plantation, traveling to Puerto Viejo and Tamarindo, surfing, parasailing, runs on the beach, and touring the National Park in Manuel Antonio. It was an unforgettable six weeks. Are you ready for the adventure?"

  • "In the 5 months that I worked at my placement, it evolved from a project to a home away from home for me. I remember walking in the gates my first day, and within seconds someone had handed me a baby to hold in one hand and a jump rope to turn in the other. After that initial moment, it was clear that the staff and kids were more than welcoming, and I could tell that I was going to fit in just fine.
There are some days that are so awesome that they push the challenging days to the back of my mind and provide me with such a rewarding feeling that it makes sense of my time spent there. This program provides you with every opportunity to both make an impact and to be impacted, and I truly couldn’t be more thankful for my experience there."

    Mackenzie S.

  • "My experience as a volunteer teaching English was fantastic...we feel the students at our all-girls school gained much from our four weeks there. The kids were great. The on-site staff is great and they will help you in whatever you need help in. You name it - project support, housing, where to eat, what to do, where to go, any sort of problem, etc. I highly recommend this program."
